Duties a Class B Memphis pickup and delivery driver may be required to fulfill while on the job:
Documenting all freight control processes properly
Performing pre and post trip inspections on the tractor and trailer in use
Reading maps, road signs, documents, hazardous materials markings and labels
Assisting customers in preparation of shipping papers and other documents if needed
Interacting and conversing with customers externally and internally
Actively participating in Dayton Freight?s programs centered around training and improvement
When necessary, affixing correct placards to tractor/trailer
Flexibility in work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignments
Adhering to the Dayton Freight?s operational procedures and guidelines while on the job

Minimum Requirements to apply for a Class B P&D driver at Dayton Freight:
At least 23 years old with one year of professional experience on the road
Fluency in English and basic math skills to be used on the road
Possession of a valid Class B CDL with HAZMAT and Tank Endorsements
Clean driving record with no DUI and no reckless operation citations in past 3 years
Drivers must have less than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
