The System Engineer for Platforms will be responsible for systems engineering, pre-production administration, capacity planning, and 24/7 support of the data center Microsoft server infrastructure, applications, and mission-critical systems operated by Hilton Worldwide's Hosted Data Center. What will I be doing? The System Engineer for Platforms will provide support, implementation, and design services for Microsoft Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions. The Team Member will resolve and appropriately complete assigned cases and change requests and act as an escalation for support issues. Other key priorities are listed below: Apply new solutions through research and collaboration with the team and determine a course of action for new application initiatives Implement new software solutions as required by the business Core infrastructure technology duties include enterprise Microsoft Active Directory and Windows file services architecture creation and management, global system security and policy configuration, and top-level support for enterprise-wide initiatives What are we looking for? To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience: Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in lieu of degree A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively increasing responsibility in an IT development engineering or support engineering role A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience A minimum of three (3) years of experience working as an Enterprise Solution Engineer and/or Architect A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with the architecture of multiple mission-critical Microsoft servers in a TCP/IP network-centric environment A minimum of one (1) year of experience in IT Infrastructure and Cloud technologies Senior to Expert level proficiency with Windows xxxx and Windows xxxx Experience supporting complex directory service environments on a global scale (Including directory site topologies) Experience configuring Group Policy Objects to secure a Windows infrastructure Experience in application integration and information security architecture Experience designing and managing security in highly delegated Active Directory environment Experience with application security standards Successfully guide troubleshooting of issues in a distributed system, working with operational teams and vendors as needed to isolated and restore service upon escalation Root Cause analysis; work with other teams and staff to identify root cause of problems and make recommendations on how to avoid repeating problems Senior to Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory Services - xxxx (r2) in large corporate environment including trusts (AD and other Kerberos implementations) Must be well versed in Active directory support tools including able to use LDAP tools; well-versed in LDIF/ ADSI interfaces Proven track record in designing, planning and building highly available and scalable 24/7 directory services infrastructures It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: MA/MS Master's Degree A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience A minimum of three (3) years of experience with basic and/or advanced TCP/IP network administration concepts A minimum of two (2) years of experience with a Unix/Linux server environment, preferred Experience and formal training in Windows server products Experience with capacity planning and capital budgeting Experience using Active Directory for authentication and authorization in a mixed environment, including *nix, OSX and mobile platforms Experience with Cyber-Ark, is a plus Experience with Splunk, is a plus Experience managing a directory that meets PCI compliance requirements, is helpful Hotel Industry background, is helpful Proficiency with system scripting languages, such as Powershell Ability to configure and administer VMWare ESX virtual machines Past programming experience in java, .net and/or other development technologies Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Server Infrastructure Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer: Azure Solutions Architect Redhat Linux Certified Engineer What benefits will I receive?
