The Analyst for Build Corporate Systems will participate in and support the overall quality of application software to ensure adherence to schedules, best practices and metrics. The Team Member will support and document improvements, enhancements and bug fixes in software with each release by authoring functional and technical requirements and specifications, adhering to release schedules and delivery milestones, participating in solution identification, and monitoring the processes that produce code, and by partnering with Architecture, Engineering and Development teams to devise corrective actions and software improvement strategies. What will I be doing? The Analyst for Build Corporate Systems will participate in the delivery of projects and initiatives as well as on-going operations support through all facets of the software development lifecycle. The Team Member will proactively engage with stakeholders to assess existing and upcoming releases and maintain regular communication to update stakeholders on progress made on the projects and releases in Corporate Systems. Other key priorities are listed below: Participate in initiatives through the standard methodology from project approval to deployment, identifying artifacts to support various phases, reviewing requirements with architects and development and build partners, and obtaining any needed security or other approvals Participate as a subject matter expert with internal and external partners in strategy and project initiation, architecture, requirements analysis, design, project management and systems integration activities Ensure the business plan and application strategy is being followed and goals are being achieved, providing feedback accordingly Evaluate and streamline processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the business domain Must be analytical and focused with a software development degree or background Experience with SQL and .Net is beneficial Ability to foster strong, collaborative relationships with IT and business partners, and maintain active involvement in daily work of teams and its members Work with the organization's IT teams to design and implement short-term and long-term architecture strategies utilizing industry best practices for managing technology Responsible for the ongoing improvement of technical, analytical, and procedural tasks Direct involvement with online capacity and performance while maintaining stability Work with other IT Team Members to provide technical guidance and integration of hotel and backend systems; including but not limited to Corporate Systems Applications in support of the Hilton back office Responsible for on-going maintenance release documentation including requirements and clarifications with technical teams, escalation point for system support, and provide necessary communication to the architecture teams and IT leadership Working knowledge of server and cloud based application platform architectures Communicate on-going support to Team Members and stakeholders Experience documenting (both functional and technical), leading user acceptance testing and managing delivery of development projects three-six (3-6) months in duration while also managing maintenance releases Experience in application development tasks, specifically, knowledge of the complete Software Development Life Cycle, Systems Architectures and the Unified Modeling Language Proficient in writing functional documentation, including use cases and/or user stories and technical documentation, capability matrixes, performing ROI and feasibility analysis, and using ticketing systems Participate constructively and actively in projects and maintenance releases of a team within a large development organization, with direct responsibility for a number of business-critical application Proven ability to control a departmental budget Proven ability to actively listen to user needs, with the ability ask open ended questions to determine and author thorough requirements and contribute to a solution definition What are we looking for?
