Scope: This will involve 2 different locations, one right after the other. The second location is in the same immediate vicinity and is on the opposite corner of the same block.
ISP Cutover - You will be installing the 20Mb line that has been installed at the location, this should be a matter of simply updating information remotely then cutting over to the new modem and confirming that everything is functioning as expected. With the internet working, we need to establish the link between the Sleep Inn and the Courtyard Marriott. From there ,we will need to go to the Courtyard Marriott, finalize the connection and cutover that particular site to the new 20Mb line as well.
After arriving the site and greeting the front desk, you will be directed to the room which houses the main equipment as well as where the new modem was installed. We will confirm the IP information for this circuit, and then reconfigure the HP Procurve remotely to work on the new circuit. You will assist in cutting the equipment over to the new line by swapping the Ethernet cables accordingly to ensure it is working. If it does not, we will use the laptop brought to test both the IP information as well as the configurations on the Gateway.
With the internet working, we will find and confirm the link from the Courtyard Marriott to the Sleep Inn and ensure that it is hooked up. We will then head to the Courtyard Marriot and using the laptop brought, reconfigure the HP Procurve onsite to utilize one of the new IPs for the new circuit. Confirming that remote access is possible and that guests are able to browse, our task is complete.
